Maya was a blast to work with. She was kind, playful, and dedicated to creating ideas with an added twist that she brought to the table. Admittedly, I fell behind on sending her more of her photos so that I could work on my website, and I need to remedy that asap. She’s a great model and person - one any photographer should love working with!
Amber and I shot once for The Booty Project to be able to bring in profit for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Her mom contacted me after our shoot to ask me about the project and share with me some personal stories that made me truly appreciate working on this project so that I could give back with my artwork. Amber is an amazing model with a magnetic personality - I very much enjoyed working with her and hope that we can shoot again in the future!
Elizabeth Lee and I shot one time for The Booty Project. She was a lot of fun to work with - full of energy with a good head on her shoulders, adventurous and good-natured even towards those who were catcalling or even the Denver homeless who walked by as we shot at the street level. Lets shoot again soon Elizabeth!
I’ve looked up to Theresa Manchester for a long time as a model/artist/human who can do anything she sets her mind to. I’ve missed being able to shoot with her in the past, but this last time I was not going to miss out on! I saved the date, and saved up the money to be able to pay her for her time and talent for the shoot. We shot for The Booty Project, both photos and video, and I cannot wait for the project to begin selling the work that was created, with proceeds going to help benefit St. Jude!
Theresa is a busy woman. When she quickly filled out the survey she thought that 5 was the highest score available. Please take that into consideration when looking it over as well :)
I have always been a fan of Allie Summers and her modeling. It’s not easy to do everything she has done and dealt with for years, though she has been able to do so with dignity and grace. When I heard that she was coming through town with very limited time while I was there, I had to try to make a shoot work! I was able to pay her for the 2 hour shoot and we were able to create! I’m looking to use the content for a coffee table book I’m working on, as well as for The Booty Project to generate for charity. I made one mistake during the shoot that I didn’t even notice until reading her filled out survey - I got so caught up in shooting for the full 2 hours that I had forgotten to show her some of the raw photos from the back of the camera!
I met Michelle in a California cafe where she worked. I went there to recharge my phone after a day of travel, going up to the counter to order three or four drinks over the course of a few hours. Near the end, Michelle went on her break and sat in the open space next to me - she commented on my camera and we started talking about photography. She said that people haven’t been able to capture her in a way that she liked, and I wanted to take her up on that as a challenge, so I asked her to shoot with me, and we set it up for the next day, just in time for my departure of the state. I looked for an airbnb and was able to contact the owner, who was himself a photographer, and rent out the entire home for a few hours so that we could shoot there. It all worked out for the best and now her work is going to be featured for The Booty Project to help support all the animals at the San Diego Humane Society.
Looking at the survey Michelle filled out, it says I was 30 minutes late, but… I wasn’t late, as I was in the airbnb with the owner getting a run of the place when Michelle and Leoni arrived. I agree on the terms of the shoot needing to be laid out more in advance though, as things did seem a little rushed for us all, and I was unaware that Michelle wanted a copy of all of the photos, including the RAWs, which is something I very rarely, if ever, give out.
Andre was a classmate of mine in the only photography class I’ve ever taken. She was largely into doing makeup but also occasionally allowed some people to take her photos. I asked her if she would let me do a shoot with her and voila! Arcade shots followed by boudoir in studio. Afterwards we devoured some Cheba Hut. It was nice to see her and she is doing some great things!
One of my favorite shoots of all time, and it was a simple one - casual boudoir and implied nude/art nude. Carolyn is absolutely devoted to creating art (she took the bus from Colorado Springs to Denver and back just to shoot with me) and she inspired me at our shoot to pour even more of myself into my craft. In the survey she filled out she also gave me my favorite complement to this day - “I have never felt more comfortable being naked in front of a stranger in my life. I don’t even think he looked at my boobs unless it was behind the lens.”
We had a ton of ideas to shoot that were for possible publications that were mainly nude ideas, but they never panned out and she was more interested in shooting the fashion side of things. Truth is, I would shoot absolutely anything with this lady, and could have a million ideas made specifically around her, and she would be able to add her own twist to it.
She is now out in New York, represented by a wonderful agency and creates art regularly. Carolyn, you’re awesome, and one day, I’ll come to New York for the sole purpose of shooting with you again!
